COSEL Introduces AC-DC Power Supplies for Industrial Applications
COSEL has unveiled its new PDA range of power supplies that convert AC to DC, tailor-made for the demands of the industrial sector. The series boasts increased dependability through a semi-resonant circuit design, utilizing fewer components to strike an exceptional balance between cost efficiency and premium quality, thus boosting longevity.
As a direct replacement for the longstanding PBA series, which has been a mainstay in high-volume scenarios globally for two decades, the PDA series retains full compatibility in all aspects: installation footprint, connectivity, and performance. The lineup starts with three models: the 15-watt PDA15F, 30-watt PDA30F, and 50-watt PDA50F, with more options poised for future release. These units are crafted for a range of uses, capable of performing consistently in conditions as cold as -20 degrees Celsius and as warm as +70 degrees Celsius. Moreover, the series meets the UL/EN62368-1 safety benchmark.
Designed with a global perspective, the PDA power supplies accommodate an input voltage from 85 VAC to 264 VAC, suitable for single-phase currents anywhere in the world. They adhere to safety regulations for 100 - 240 VAC inputs at 50/60Hz frequency. The initial models – PDA15F, PDA30F, and PDA50F – come with three selectable output voltages of 5 V, 12 V, and 24 V, each tailored to supply corresponding current levels. An onboard potentiometer allows users to fine-tune the output voltage.
Employing a refined semi-resonant switching schema, the PDA series achieves an impressive efficiency of up to 87.5% when operating at 230 VAC under full load. This efficiency leap of over 5% from its PBA predecessor leads to diminished thermal output, hence elevating overall system dependability.
